Collection notice
Draft. This document is written in plain English against the Australian Privacy Principles and is awaiting legal review — a go-live gate before any public launch (09 §6).
This notice covers the two points in the Essential Eight Scorecard where information about you or your business is collected (Australian Privacy Principle 5).
During the assessment
What: your answers, and optional context (industry, headcount band, who runs your IT, state). Why: to calculate your results and personalise your report. Where: stored encrypted, in Australia. How long: anonymous assessments are deleted after 90 days. You can complete the assessment without providing any contact details.
At the report gate
What: your email (required for delivery), and optionally your name, company and phone. Why: to email you the PDF report you requested, and — because this is a free tool built by an IT services company — our team may follow up once on that request. Marketing and research use happen only if you tick the boxes, which are unticked by default. Consent is never the price of the report.
